True Gems Can Be Found Anywhere...
For me it's always amazing how many different things almost cry out to be transformed into jewellery pieces! Stroll along a beach, and there are pieces of beach glass and shards of pottery, polished smooth by years of exposure to the tides. Or open a drawer in your Mum's house: discarded cuttlery, buttons, a domino game with missing pieces. No need to chuck them into the bin! They could make a nice pendant, ring or wind chime. The new piece will have a story to tell and our planet breathe a tiny sigh of relief..
I definitely like playing with old stuff. It's a bit like ready - steady - cook. You have some ingredients you didn't buy yourself, and now you have to make something up. I do this by collaging, glueing and mixing with new beads or whatever comes along... To see what's available, click on
